How to get to Rasnov by train

The town of Brasov is the nearby city that is widely used by tourists as a starting point to reach Râșnov by train. A train ticket costs about 5 lei (1 euro) and the journey time between Brasov and Rasnov is about 22 minutes for a distance of about 16 kilometres.

How to get to Râșnov by bus

Getting to Râșnov by bus is also simple and cheap. However, the journey can sometimes be much longer than a train journey and bus timetables may differ.

You have two options:

1. Metropolitan public transport

This is a local public transport service that connects Brasov with the towns in the Brasov metropolitan area: Rașnov, Cristian, Feldioara, Hărman, Prejmer, Vama Buzăului, Predeal, etc.

The route between Rașnov and Brașov is served by 2 bus lines:
- 130 - Brasov (Stad. Municipal) - Cristian - Rasnov
- 131 - Brasov (Stad. Municipal) - Rasnov (Romacril)
The journey costs approximately 5 lei. More details about routes and ticket prices can be found on the website of the local public transport operator: RATBV ( www.ratbv.ro )

2. Inter-county transport

This is a transport service with regular buses that connects distant towns, such as between Brasov (BV) and Râmnicu Valcea (VL).

There are 2 operators with routes passing through Râșnov:
- Antares - antarestransport.autogari.ro
- Transmontana - www.obada-transmontana.ro
The bus station with buses leaving from Brasov to Rasnov is called Autogara 2 Transbus Codreanu and is located at 114 Avram Iancu Street. Here you can see a map.

How to get to Râșnov by car

If you want to explore Râșnov and its surroundings, you should consider renting a car if you don't already have one. Please note that street parking in Râșnov can be difficult to find and can be expensive.

Râșnov is accessible from Brașov (DN73 and A3), Bran (DN73), Predeal (DN73A) and Poiana Brașov (DN1E) as well as from other cities in Romania.
